Artist Bio...

In his latest series, professional artist and lifelong angler Steve McCracken combines his two passions for fishing and painting. In his new watercolour and ink series Steve captures the beauty and essence of fish with a free yet controlled style of expressive painting. Having fished all his life, Steve has caught and handled many fish, albeit perhaps not all as large as the ones he paints. He displays his love and appreciation for fish and the natural environment in these energetic and organic works. His paintings convey a certain romance for each individual fish, expressing their uniqueness as well as his own distinctive artistic style.

Steve is a well-renowned street artist and has spent the last few years visiting schools and working with communities, giving artist talks and delivering signature workshops to spread the importance of art and creativity.  Additionally, he continues to exhibit his artwork both in the streets and galleries, showcasing his work year-round.

When not in the studio, galleries, or schools, Steve can be found wandering the banks of the River Exe, River Culm or many a stillwater.
